The learning of lawyers in the field of forensic medicine must follow a balance that requires the development of scientific knowledge and the interpretation of results, transfers scientific knowledge to the knowledge of the lawyer, knows the limits of the actions of some professionals and the beginning of the action of others, must know the coroner©, what is his field of action, but also©those spaces, which do not correspond to him, so that his scientific statements, which are based on objective evidence, are not refuted. Similarly, prosecutors and judges need to know the full scope of forensic science, what forensic examination can do for them, and therefore request the evidence deemed appropriate for the case, or the necessary consultations on the appropriate targeting of requests for evidence that better fit the specific facts. This creates the necessary flow of communication between lawyer and coroner©in favor of the most identical possible results on the criminal facts where evidence is required. Consequently, the idea of publishing this textbook of forensic medicine in the Dominican Republic as part of the teaching materials of the National School of Public Prosecutors and the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) stems from various activities carried out with the Attorney-General of the Republic. in particular, the development of forensic sciences and in particular forensic medicine within the framework of the project to improve the efficiency of criminal investigations.
